The initial idea for this song came about whilst geeking out on space videos. I learned about Laniakea, our local supercluster of galaxies that's home to our Milky Way and approximately 100,000 other nearby galaxies. I was playing acoustic guitar and thinking about that incomprehensible scale and distance. The melodies for this song started coming to me whilst imagining travelling that far away from our pale blue dot. The intro of the song works for me as the countdown to blasting off. The furious metal that follows represents what I imagine being on top of rocket leaving Earth's gravity would feel like. I hope you enjoy the journey this track takes you on.
